Upcoming How-To Blogs

If you have seen some of the youtube videos that I have uploaded, you will notice that most of the designs that I have been working on have been back yard remodels.  Archicad has a world of objects that can improve the visual experience with the video, but there is always a gdl that I just cannot find.  Sometimes there are quite a few gdls available but non that will work for my current project.  I have included some locations that I have found where you can download for free!!

For those that are curious, I am using a Quad Core CPU Q9400 @266Hz, with an extra cooler and overclocked to ??

My Video Card is an ATI Radeon HD 3850

So it is not the best hardware for what I am doing but it helps to run a 64bit operating system (W7)

I will talk more about performance in another blog. Later I will also include a blog where I will specifically show you how I generated at slide for a swimming pool as you can see on my youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWx79VfW9Bc

Once generated, this slide can be used on any project.

I will also show you how I build my swimming pool in Archicad, so that it has steps, a Baja Shelf, and even provide new textures for the concrete slabs.

Anyway, here is a list of my favorite links for downloading GDL's.  When you post your questions, please be very specific so that others can help.

Welcome Fellow Architects and Designers

I decided to create this blog to help people who are in similar circumstances as I.

I recently started to use Lumion for the purposes of creating 3d images that were more realistic than what Archicad could produce.  Honestly, I have not spent much time with Artlantis nor with Sketchup, mainly because I have spent most of my career designing and generating architectural plans for construction purposes rather than for for marketing.

Recently, I started creating plans with rendering for the specific purpose of convincing my client's prospect to sign on the dotted line.  This then turned into generating videos for the client to show his customer prior to building their project.  The product has turned out to be a fantastic marketing tool.

The biggest challenge was to that I had to learn many new skills at once.  I am still in the process of learning them and have spent exhausting hours scouring the internet, listening to tutorials and reading how-to's.  In the process, I have found some outstanding sites that I would like to share with you all.  In return, I was hoping to find others who were looking for the same.

I will post a list of questions that I have, that once answered would have a major impact in my ability to improve the quality, time and profitability of my new product.

Thanks for joining my blog site and please add it to your favorites; check on us on a regular basis and you may get some cool tools.  Hopefully you can add a question that needs solving or even offer some solutions for the rest of us.

If you do a search for Lumion+Flipped you will find my videos on youtube.
